Mind Map

A flat list of tasks works fine for a handful of items, but relationships become harder to see as the list grows. The mind map keeps task structure, terminal state, and spatial context visible together, while Quick Search takes you directly to a node. This is a map of your tasks and the agents working on them, not a map of your code.

Use arrow keys to move between nodes:

  • Up / Down — Move between siblings.
  • Left — Move to parent node.
  • Right — Move to first child node.

Selecting a node with arrow keys or clicking it will automatically show its terminal (if one is launched) in the panel.

Creating nodes

ActionShortcut
Add child nodeTab
Add sibling nodeEnter

Both shortcuts create the node and immediately enter inline rename mode — type a name and press Enter to confirm or Escape to cancel.

You can also right-click a node and choose Add Child or Add Sibling from the context menu.

Renaming nodes

  • Double-click a node to start renaming.
  • Or select a node and press Cmd+Enter / Ctrl+Enter.
  • Or right-click and choose Rename.

Press Enter to confirm the new name, or Escape to cancel.

Deleting nodes

Select a node and press Delete or Backspace. You can also right-click and choose Delete.

If the node has children or active terminals, a confirmation dialog appears listing what will be removed. Confirming the deletion kills all active terminal sessions under that node.

The root node cannot be deleted.

Drag to reorganize

Click and drag any node to rearrange your tree:

  • Drop onto a node to make the dragged node a child of the target.
  • Drop between siblings to reorder within the same parent.

Press Escape to cancel an active drag.

There is no keyboard shortcut to move, promote, or demote a node, so reorganizing the tree uses drag and drop.

Collapsing and expanding

Click the collapse/expand arrow on any parent node to toggle its children’s visibility. You can also use the Node menu:

  • Collapse — Hide children of the selected node.
  • Expand — Show children of the selected node.
  • Collapse All — Collapse every node in the tree.
  • Expand All — Expand every node in the tree.

Context menu

Right-click any node to access:

  • Launch Terminal / Focus Terminal — Start a terminal for this node, or show its existing one.
  • Add Child / Add Sibling — Create new nodes.
  • Rename — Edit the node label.
  • Resume Claude Session — Resume this node’s Claude Code session (enabled once one exists). See Agent Awareness.
  • Add Link / Edit Link / Open Link / Remove Link — see Node links below.
  • Delete — Remove the node.

Attach a URL to a node so it’s one click away, without leaving the mind map:

  • Select a node and press Cmd+Shift+L / Ctrl+Shift+L, or right-click and choose Add Link (or Edit Link if one is already set).
  • Right-click a linked node and choose Open Link to open it, or Remove Link to clear it.
  • You can also right-click a URL detected in terminal output and choose Set node link — see Terminals.

Some node links are set automatically: Autolink Rules, configured in Settings > Autolink, scan new terminal output for a pattern (for example a ticket number) and build a link URL from the match.

Panning and zooming

  • Pan — Hold Space and drag the canvas.
  • Zoom inCmd+= / Ctrl+=
  • Zoom outCmd+- / Ctrl+-
  • Reset zoomCmd+0 / Ctrl+0
  • Fit to screen — Shows all nodes in the viewport (via the View menu or toolbar).
  • Center on selected — Center the viewport on the currently selected node.

See Appearance for more viewport controls like the minimap.
